Choosing the Right Banquet Venue

June 16, 2015 | Posted in Events

Your wedding, bar/bat mitzvah, sweet 16, or special event begins with choosing the right banquet venue. Review the following points when choosing your banquet hall to begin planning a successful event.

Behind the scenes. A banquet venue is just a banquet venue, but with the right staff, they will make sure you and your guests will enjoy and appreciate all the details you poured your heart and soul into. Get to know the stars behind the scenes and you’ll be able to make a more informed decision.

Research online. Read reviews and browse photo galleries of past events to get a better picture of the banquet hall and how people felt about their experience.

Taste test. Take advantage of in-house catering services for a smooth experience. Remember to go to a tasting before you finalize your menu selections, so you can choose with confidence. (Plus, tastings are seriously yummy!)

Ask questions. Write down a few questions you need or would like to know. Ask about the time frame of the event, guest capacity, activity or decoration restrictions, and special features to get to know the venue better.

Book in advance. The banquet hall will often have better availability and rates when you book in advance, especially during peak season. One or two years in advance is a great time frame to reserve your venue booking. (But keep in mind… you may get the best deal if you book less than a year from your wedding date.)
