Amp Up Your Wedding Dessert

Wedding cake (and all the goodies that come with it) is typically the last taste your guests get of your wedding day. But it’s more than just cutting a slice of cake these days – there are plenty of ways to transform the dessert portion of the evening into an epic and delicious end to the celebration. Here are a few ways the Windsor Ballroom in East Windsor, NJ (or any of our Hotels Unlimited venues) might be able to help!

Try a naked cake. A rising wedding trend is the naked cake – one that skips the fondant and buttercream and sometimes favors beautiful florals or delectable fruit as an adornment instead. The barely-frosted cakes are just as delicious and elegant as a traditional one. And when booking with the Windsor Ballroom (or any of our venues), a customized cake of your dreams from our local baker – frosted or not – is included in our wedding packages.

Get personal. Adding a personalized cake cutter or custom champagne flutes to your dessert table is a sweet touch (no pun intended) and a unique addition to the event. Another trend we love is custom cake toppers – the cuter, the better. Personalized groom’s cakes are another huge hit at for our New Jersey couples, and a great way to show your appreciation for your spouse.
