Use These Design Tips to Create the Perfect Wedding Invites

April 23, 2019 | Posted in Trends, Weddings

You’ve confirmed your date and time, reserved a venue, and decided on a menu for your wedding. Now, it’s time for you to send out those invitations. The invites serve as a sneak-peek into what your guests can expect at your nuptials. So naturally, you want to make sure you’ve gotten all the details right. From font to size and color, here are a few tips to creating the perfect wedding invitation.

Keep Theme in Mind

As you decide on the style and design of your wedding invitations, keep your wedding theme in mind. Above, you can see some couples incorporated a lot of their theme into the invitations. From nautical stripes to holiday wreaths, there are so many ways to let your guests in on the theme behind your big day. If you don’t have a particular theme in mind, that’s fine as well. You can simply incorporate your wedding colors into the design.

Choose Fonts Wisely

Unless you want a ton of quests calling you asking for clarification on what your invitation says, it’s best to choose a font that’s legible to most. If you’re going to go with a fancy script writing, it is best to go with bold and large font size to ensure it’s easy to read. You can also mix fonts using clear and bold fonts for important information like location, date, and time and fancy fonts for other details on the invitation.

Switch Up the Shape

Who says that your wedding invitation has to be the traditional rectangle? As you can see from the photos above, couples are stepping outside of the box and printing invites in all shapes and sizes. Just make sure it’s not so small that your guests could misplace it easily.

When your guests receive their wedding invitations you want them to be wowed! Not just by the fact that you’re tying the knot but by the design and detail of the invite. To give your guests a powerful first impression of what your wedding day will be like, keep the above-mentioned design tips in mind.
